Troy and I met at the Beyond Bread on Campbell. It was a cold ride over at 7:30 AM, but not as bad as it would have been one week earlier. Troy showed up with his KTM 525EXC. I was worried but he said he planned to take mild trails and that the only reason he was on the KTM instead of the XR650R was he couldn't get the XR started in the cold weather. Well, I'm not sure the trails we took were all mild by KLR standards, but they were all doable and definately fun.
Troy suggested that since it was a little warmer than we thought, we should ride the Santa Ritas instead of Ironwood Nat'l Monument. I agreed that the Santa Ritas would make a better ride. We left Beyond Bread and headed south on Campbell where I snapped this picture of Troy in traffic.
